 I am a so-called graphic artist who has always been passionate about the Pre-Raphaelites. I don't mean that I just like them. I eat, drink, breathe, sleep Pre-Raphaelites. I'm slowly filling my ramshackle house with my own replicas of drawings by Rossetti, Burne-Jones and, soon, Waterhouse. Right now the living room looks like a Jane Morris shrine. Your site is almost as facinating as the works its based on. I love the water effects you put on the paintings, and I enjoyed reading about your trip in England. I'm going to be going there in a few months on a quest of my own...for Jane Austen, not Waterhouse, but I plan on finding as many paintings as possible while I'm there.
I know absolutely nothing about art. I fell in love with Waterhouse after a reading of The Lady of Shalott in my grade 11 English class, when my teacher showed us a poster of his painting. Since then I've been having a terrible time finding more information on him. This site is a huge help. Thanks so much. Your work is very much appreciated.

Waterhouse is one of my favourite artists and i share the same feelings as yourself.
I have searched everywhere i could for info on Waterhouse, this site provides everything i've been looking for.

Thank you! The size of the pictures as well as the color really show the beauty of Waterhouse's works. I just love how Waterhouse translates literature into beautiful paintings. I really like Waterhouse's style, use of color, and attention to the slightest expression to convey emotion. |

I've just spent several hours "glued" to your website. It's truly beautiful,just like the images it contains. I will bookmark this site so I can come back again and again. While I was visiting, I sent an e-card to a friend. I like that feature. I have started a small Pre-Raphealite collection in which Waterhouse dominates. It's his attention to the details that gets me. My eyes keep roaming over the paintings and I see more with each viewing! The next poster I purchase will be from your site.

found your site by through searching for a poster of "Windflowers" & have visited several times since. my favourite artist- the model for many of his paintings (including Ophelia & Windflowers) is idential to my much-loved neice. She lives in New York & the paintings make me miss her a little bit less. |
